SaaS Pricing Changes: What Changed in October 2026 (Tracker)
SaaS pricing changes in October 2026: Atlassian raised Jira, Confluence and JSM cloud list prices on 13 October, while 28 of 29 prices we re-checked held.

The one confirmed SaaS list price change of October 2026 is Atlassian's: on 13 October it raised cloud list prices across Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Bitbucket, Guard and Jira Product Discovery, with Jira Standard moving from $9.05 to $9.70 per user per month (+7.2%). Of the 29 list prices we re-checked against our own September and early-October reads, 28 held.
Techpresso data: on 17 October 2026 we re-read 29 list prices from 9 vendors (Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, Adobe, Zapier, Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub and Atlassian) that our own pricing pages had verified between 25 September and 14 October. One price moved, Jira Standard, which we had read at $9.05 on 10 October, three days before Atlassian's increase took effect.
This page is a dated log, not a prediction. A change appears here only when the vendor's own page shows the old and new price or we hold our own dated read of the old one. Toolradar, the software directory we run, adds the market-wide picture below from its pricing change research.

Atlassian's cloud price update FAQ lists the full product set, and the increase reaches Premium and Enterprise tiers as well as Standard. The percentages above are computed from the published old and new figures.
What it means for a buyer: a team that pays monthly started paying the new rate on its first invoice after 13 October, so the increase is already on the bill. A team on an annual subscription should look at its renewal date, because that is when the new list price applies. Our project management pricing comparison was built on the old Jira figure and ranked Jira Standard second on cost for a 10-person team; at the new price its lead over the next option narrows but the order does not change.
What the Atlassian increase costs a real team
The scenario is a 50-person company on Jira Standard and Confluence Standard, both billed monthly in the 1 to 100 user tier.
| Before 13 October | After 13 October | Difference | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jira Standard, 50 users x 12 months | $5,430 | $5,820 | +$390 |
| Confluence Standard, 50 users x 12 months | $4,020 | $4,290 | +$270 |
| Total per year | $9,450 | $10,110 | +$660 (+7.0%) |
Per employee, that is $13.20 a year, which no finance team will fight. The reason the change matters is scale: the same 7% on Atlassian's own 1,000-user annual tier moves Jira from $68,500 to $73,500 and Confluence from $43,000 to $45,500, or $7,500 a year combined. Anyone renewing an enterprise agreement this quarter should price the uplift before the renewal lands.
Prices we re-checked this month that did not move
Most SaaS prices are stable in any given month, and a tracker that only lists increases makes the market look worse than it is. These are the list prices we read on 17 October 2026 that matched our own earlier verification.
| Vendor and plan | Price on 17 Oct 2026 | Our earlier read | Vendor page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zoom Workplace Pro | $14.16/user/mo annual, $16.99 monthly | September 2026, in our video conferencing comparison | Zoom pricing |
| Google Workspace Business Starter, Standard, Plus | $7, $14, $22/user/mo on an annual plan | 25 September 2026, in Google Workspace vs Microsoft 365 | Google Workspace plan comparison |
| Asana Starter | $10.99/user/mo annual, $13.49 monthly | 10 October 2026 | Asana pricing |
| Adobe Acrobat Standard, Pro, Studio | $14.99, $19.99, $24.99/mo on an annual plan | 14 October 2026, in our Acrobat pricing guide | Adobe Acrobat pricing |
| Zapier Professional, 750 and 10,000 tasks | $19.99 and $129/mo annual; $29.99 and $193.50 monthly | 13 October 2026, in Zapier vs Make pricing | Zapier pricing |
| Claude Pro, Team standard, Team premium | $20 or $17 annual; $25 or $20 annual; $125 or $100 annual, per month | 14 October 2026 | Claude pricing |
| ChatGPT Go, Plus, Pro, Business | $8, $20, from $100; $20/user/mo annual or $25 monthly | 14 October 2026 | ChatGPT plan pricing |
| GitHub Copilot Pro, Pro+, Max | $10, $39, $100/mo | 11 October 2026 | Copilot plans |
Two notes on that table. Microsoft 365 is absent because our latest dated read of its business plans is the Microsoft 365 Copilot cost breakdown from 17 October, published the same day as this re-check. Slack and Notion are absent because their pricing pages serve local currency depending on where they are loaded, and a tracker that compares dollars to euros would be wrong by design; our Slack vs Microsoft Teams and Notion pricing pages carry the dollar figures from their own check dates.
How often do SaaS prices change? Toolradar's data
Toolradar data: across the 127 clean price changes Toolradar detected in its catalog in the 2026 snapshot of 4 August, 65 (51%) were increases and 62 (49%) were cuts, with a median increase of 22% and a median cut of 21%. The largest rises were TabAI and Found at +75% and DoorLoop at +68%; the largest cuts were Neat at -75%, Follow Up Boss at -71% and Nakama at -70%. Source: Toolradar, software pricing changes 2026, next update 4 November 2026.
That near-even split is the number to keep in mind when a vendor email announces "updated pricing". Atlassian's 7% is small next to the median move in either direction, and cuts cluster in crowded categories such as CRM, privacy and audio tools, where a vendor loses share by holding its price. The Toolradar pricing change log, published 21 September 2026, shows the scale of the monitoring behind those numbers: 10,667 published tools, 7,331 of them checked in the previous 30 days, and 536 proposed price diffs awaiting review, none yet applied to a public listing. A proposed diff is a detected difference between the stored price and the live page; it becomes a change on this tracker only once a human has confirmed it against the vendor's page.
For the baseline those changes move around, Toolradar's how software is priced report read the pricing pages of 5,194 tools with at least two plans: the median entry price is $18 a month, the mean $178, and 51% of tools offer a free plan. Jira's new Standard price sits well under that median, which is part of why a 7% increase on it draws less protest than the same percentage on a $178 plan.
What to do before your next renewal
- Check the effective date against your billing cycle. Monthly Atlassian customers pay the new rate now; annual customers pay it at renewal. Pull the renewal date from the admin console before the finance review, not after.
- Re-price the alternatives on the same scenario. A 10-person team that needs a timeline view has ClickUp at $7 per user and Asana Starter at $10.99 per user billed yearly as the two neighbours of Jira on price, both unchanged this month.
- Treat seat bands as the real lever. Atlassian prices in user tiers, so the 101st user and the 251st user each change the per-seat rate; trimming inactive seats before renewal saves more than any discount request.
- Watch the AI bundles, not only the base plans. The prices that did move in 2026 across our sites were mostly AI tiers: Microsoft's Business Standard with Copilot at $23.50 and the Copilot Business add-on at $18 on promotion, covered in the Copilot cost breakdown.
- Keep your own dated reads. The only reason this page can say "unchanged" is that we wrote down the price and the date the first time. A screenshot of the pricing page at signup is the cheapest insurance against a disputed renewal, and it is why every Techpresso pricing page, from the help desk comparison to the business phone system comparison, states its check date.
How we track SaaS pricing changes
We confirm a change only on the vendor's own page: a published old and new price with an effective date, or a live price that differs from a price we verified ourselves on a stated earlier date. Third-party reports, forum posts and vendor emails forwarded to us are leads, never sources. Toolradar's figures come from its published reports, each linked with its snapshot date. Dupple runs no test lab, so nothing here reflects usage of the products, only their published prices. The page is updated as changes are confirmed and the "updated" date moves only when the content does.
