Techpresso reviews come in two shapes: ranked guides ("Best CRM Software", "Best AI Meeting Assistants") and single-product reviews (Canva, Calendly, Notion). Neither carries a star score. This page explains how a product gets onto a list, how the order is decided, and what a review tells you about each product.

No scores, on purpose
Techpresso reviews do not give products a star rating or a score out of 100. We do not run a test lab, so a number would suggest a measurement we did not make. Instead each product gets the things a buyer can check: who it is best for, what it costs by plan, what it does well and where it falls short.
How a product gets on a ranked guide
- It is a direct competitor of the other products on the list, solving the same job for engineers, founders, executives and operators at tech companies, not a tangential tool that shares a tag.
- It is alive and current: verified on its own site, not discontinued or folded into another product. A product that dies or is acquired is replaced on the next refresh.
- Its price and plans can be read on its own site, or the page says clearly that it is quote-only.
How the order is decided
The order reflects fit for the reader the guide is written for, judged from documented evidence: the vendor's documentation and pricing pages, changelogs and public user reports. The exception is a paid placement: a vendor that paid to be listed can have its position set by that agreement, and the guide says so at the top of the page. Each product's card says who it is best for and lists its pros and cons, and the comparison table puts every product's starting price next to its best-for line. When the honest answer depends on team size, budget or use case, the guide says so instead of forcing one winner.

Money and rankings
- Paid placements. A vendor can pay to be listed in a guide, sometimes at a set position. The guide names it in a disclosure at the top of the page.
- Affiliate commissions. Some products are on a list because they have an affiliate program with us. They get the same card as every other product: dated prices, best-for line, pros and cons. The product links our templates generate carry
rel="sponsored". - Vendor requests. A vendor can correct a fact with a primary source (see corrections). A correction request does not buy a better position or the removal of a con.
How to read a Techpresso review
For the business software reviewed here (CRM, PDF editors, form builders, phone systems, website builders and more), prices come from the vendor's US pricing page. Some vendors serve a different list to European visitors; when that happens the page gives the US list and, where it matters, names the European prices separately rather than mixing the two.
