Miro Pricing 2026: Free, Starter, Business and Enterprise

Miro pricing in 2026: Starter $8 and Business $20 per member billed yearly, Enterprise from 30 members, AI credits per plan and 10-member totals vs Mural and FigJam.

Miro Pricing 2026: Free, Starter, Business and Enterprise

Miro costs $8 per member a month on Starter and $20 per member on Business, both billed yearly, with a Free plan capped at three editable boards and a quote-only Enterprise plan that starts at 30 members, as read on Miro's pricing page on 18 October 2026. For 10 members billed yearly, Starter comes to $960 a year and Business to $2,400.

The per-member price is only half the bill. What decides the total is how many people you make members rather than guests, because Miro charges for every member in the workspace while guests and visitors are free. A team that invites clients and stakeholders as guests can keep a large board audience on a small paid seat count.

Dupple data: our Lucidchart review recorded Miro's Starter and Business tiers at the same yearly per-member prices on 25 September 2026, so Miro's list prices held through the weeks after Bending Spoons agreed to buy Miro. A change of owner is the moment to re-read a renewal quote, and this page will move its date when the numbers do.

Toolradar data: on Toolradar, the software directory we run, Miro is listed as an alternative to 54 other tools and ranks second of 45 tools in the Whiteboard category on that measure, as of October 2026. Buyers rarely price it alone, so this page sets it against Mural and FigJam.

Every Miro plan at a glance

Plan Per member, per month (billed yearly) 10 members, 12 months Editable boards AI credits per month MCP calls per day
Free $0 $0 3 10, as a limited trial 100
Starter $8 $960 Unlimited 25 per member 500
Business $20 $2,400 Unlimited 50 per member 2,000
Enterprise Contact sales, from 30 members Not published Unlimited From 2,500 10,000

Prices, limits and credit allowances come from Miro's pricing page, read in US dollars on 18 October 2026. Totals multiply the yearly per-member rate by 10 members and 12 months.

Monthly billing costs more: Miro says annual billing saves 20% over monthly, and the yearly figures above are the ones it prints on the plan cards. Paying by card works on either term with no license minimum. Invoicing is annual only and needs at least 10 licenses on Starter or 5 on Business, and Miro now offers it only to customers who were already paying that way.

What each Miro plan includes

Free is a real tool for a single team with a handful of active boards. It allows unlimited team members, three editable boards, the template library, 250+ app integrations and a small AI trial. The limit that ends it is privacy as much as the board cap. Every board on Free is open to all team members by default and there are no guest or visitor roles, so a team cannot bring in a client or an agency without upgrading.

Starter is the plan most small teams buy. It removes the board cap, adds private board sharing, spaces, blueprints and custom templates, and unlocks guests and visitors with editing rights. It also brings 25 AI credits per member each month and integrations with Jira and Asana. A five-to-fifteen-person product, design or consulting team running workshops with outside participants lands here.

Business is for teams that wire Miro into their delivery tools. It doubles the AI allowance to 50 credits per member, includes AI workflows and agents (a limited trial on Free and Starter), interactive prototypes and two-way integrations with Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana, Linear and ClickUp. Single sign-on starts here, which is often the line an IT team draws before it approves a tool.

Enterprise is sold through Miro's sales team, with a seat minimum. It adds regional data hosting in the EU, US, Australia or Japan, SCIM provisioning, audit logs, domain control and an AI allowance that starts at 2,500 credits a month. Enterprise Guard, for governing sensitive board content, and premium 24/7 support with SLAs are add-ons on top. Miro does not publish an Enterprise price, and neither do we.

Who counts as a paid member on Miro?

This is the rule that moves the bill. On Starter and Business, Miro charges for every member added to the workspace, and charges are prorated, so someone added mid-cycle is billed only for the days left until the next renewal. Miro's page splits everyone else into two free roles:

  • Members take a paid seat and get full access to the workspace.
  • Guests get a free account with access to specific boards they are invited to.
  • Visitors open a board through a link without any account, and can edit when the board owner allows it.

The practical effect: a consultancy with 6 staff who run boards for 40 client participants pays for 6 members, not 46, as long as the clients join as guests or visitors. On Starter that is $576 a year for the whole engagement. The trap runs the other way too. Anyone you add as a member to "make access easier" becomes a full seat on the next invoice, so audit the member list before each renewal.

How much does Miro AI cost?

Miro AI runs on monthly credits included with each plan rather than a separate add-on price. Credits are pooled across the organization, consumed per AI action at a rate that varies by feature, and reset each month without rolling over. Miro sells additional credit packages when you run out, but its pricing page does not print their price.

Pooling changes the math. A 10-member Starter workspace shares 250 credits a month, while the same team on Business shares 500. That means one heavy AI user can drain the pool for everyone, and the plan you need depends on your team's busiest AI user as much as on its size. Teams that lean on AI agents and workflows need Business anyway, because those are only a limited trial below it.

Free users get 10 credits a month to try AI diagram, table and summary generation, and every plan, Free included, can connect Miro to Claude, Cursor or Copilot through Miro's MCP server. The daily MCP call limit rises from 100 on Free to 10,000 on Enterprise, which matters if you plan to let an AI assistant read and write boards on a schedule.

Miro vs Mural vs FigJam for 10 members

Tool and plan Per member, per month 10 members, 12 months Free tier
FigJam on Figma Professional (Collab seat) $3 $360 Figma Starter, free
Miro Starter (billed yearly) $8 $960 3 editable boards
Mural Team+ (billed annually) $9.99 $1,198.80 3 editable murals
Mural Business (billed annually) $17.99 $2,158.80 Same Free plan
Miro Business (billed yearly) $20 $2,400 Same Free plan

Mural prices come from Mural's pricing page and FigJam prices from Figma's pricing page, both read in US dollars on 18 October 2026. Mural's Team+ plan is $12 per member billed monthly.

Miro sits in the middle on entry price and at the top on its business tier. Starter undercuts Mural Team+ by about $2 per member, while Miro Business costs about $2 more than Mural Business. Both Mural paid plans also allow unlimited visitors with editing rights, and Mural Business adds unlimited external users and SAML single sign-on, so a team that mainly needs SSO and outside collaborators should price Mural first.

FigJam is the cheapest way to whiteboard if your team already pays for Figma. A Collab seat on Figma's Professional plan costs a fraction of a Miro seat and comes with 500 AI credits a month. It is a design team's whiteboard, though, with fewer workshop and project-planning features than Miro. Our best digital whiteboards ranking compares the three on features, and the best free online whiteboards covers what each free tier allows.

Hidden costs and gotchas

  • Members cost money, guests do not. Every member is a paid seat on Starter and Business; invite outsiders as guests or visitors.
  • Free boards are open to the whole team. There are no private boards or guest roles on Free, which rules it out for client work.
  • AI credits do not roll over. Unused credits expire at the end of each month, and a shared pool can run dry mid-month.
  • SSO is a Business feature. A team whose IT policy requires single sign-on cannot stay on Starter.
  • Enterprise has a seat minimum. A 20-person company that wants regional data hosting still has to buy Enterprise at its minimum size.
  • Upgrades are immediate, downgrades wait. Miro prorates an upgrade at once, while a downgrade or cancellation takes effect at the end of the term.
  • Discounts exist. Students and staff get Miro free through the Education plan, eligible startups get $1,000 in Miro credits through a partner or $500 applying on their own, and venture-backed companies can apply for 25% off Enterprise.

Which Miro plan should you buy?

Stay on Free if one internal team needs three active boards and nobody outside the company joins them. Buy Starter as soon as you need private boards, more than three live boards or client participants, and keep outsiders on guest or visitor roles to hold the seat count down. Move to Business when you need SSO, AI workflows and agents, or two-way sync with Jira and Azure DevOps, or when a 25-credit-per-member AI pool keeps running out.

If the bill still looks high, compare the field before you renew. Our Miro review weighs its strengths and weaknesses beyond price, and the Lucidchart review covers the diagramming alternative. Teams that use Miro mainly to plan projects should also read project management software pricing compared, which prices seven tools on a 10-user scenario, and the ClickUp pricing and Notion pricing breakdowns, since both bundle a whiteboard into their plans.
