Slack Pricing 2026: Pro, Business+ and Enterprise+ Per User
Slack pricing in 2026: Free, Pro $7.25 and Business+ $15 per user a month billed yearly, Enterprise+ on quote, plus yearly bills for 10, 25 and 50 users.

Slack costs $7.25 per user a month on Pro and $15 on Business+ when you pay annually, or $8.75 and $18 paid month to month. The Free plan costs $0 with 90 days of message history, and Enterprise+ is priced by sales. A 25-person team pays $2,175 a year on Pro with annual billing. All prices were read on Slack's US pricing page on 18 October 2026.
Our view: Pro is the right plan for most small teams, and Business+ is worth its doubled price only when you need SAML single sign-on, SCIM provisioning or Slack's full AI agent. The annual discount is the one saving every buyer should take, because it beats the current monthly promotion over a year. This page sets out each plan, what it adds, the promotion and billing rules, and what teams of 10, 25 and 50 pay.
Toolradar data: Slack is listed as an alternative to 51 other tools on Toolradar, the software directory we run, which makes it the #1 most-listed alternative among the 38 internal comms tools tracked there as of October 2026. Every rival is priced against it, which is why its per-seat price is the benchmark in our team chat ranking.

Prices are in US dollars per active user, read on Slack's pricing page on 18 October 2026. Slack advertises 50% off the first three months of monthly billing on Pro and Business+, shown as $4.38 and $9 a month, with terms attached. Taxes are extra.
How much does Slack Pro cost?
Pro is $7.25 per user a month billed annually, which is $87 per user per year. Paid monthly, the same seat costs $105 a year, so the annual plan saves $18 per user, about 17%. For a team that knows it will use Slack all year, annual billing is the cheapest way to buy it.
Pro removes the limits that push teams off Free. Message and file history becomes unlimited and searchable, app integrations become unlimited instead of capped at 10, huddles open up to group meetings with screen sharing, and Slack Connect works with up to 250 outside organizations instead of one-to-one messages only. It also includes Slack's basic AI tier, which on the pricing card means conversation summaries for channels and huddles, with transcripts and action items.
What Pro lacks is identity control. Sign-in is OAuth with Google rather than SAML, and channel posting permissions are limited to #general. A company that manages staff through Okta or Microsoft Entra will hit that wall first, and it is the main reason to move up.
What Business+ adds for $15 a user
Business+ costs about twice Pro, and the extra pays for three things. SAML single sign-on and SCIM user management connect Slack to your identity provider, so joiners and leavers are handled automatically. Advanced AI adds AI search, daily recaps, file summaries, AI workflow generation and Slackbot, Slack's personal AI agent, with ongoing access; Slack says Free and Pro users get only a limited trial of Slackbot. And support moves to 24/7 with a four-hour first response time, against plain 24/7 support on Pro.
Business+ also lets admins set posting permissions in any channel, which matters for large announcement channels. For a 25-person startup that signs in with Google, none of that is urgent; for a 200-person company with an IT team and a compliance checklist, SAML and SCIM alone usually decide it.
Put plainly: if your identity provider is not yet part of your security policy and nobody asks for Slackbot, stay on Pro and spend the difference elsewhere. If an auditor will ask how access to Slack is revoked when someone leaves, Business+ is the cheaper answer than doing it by hand.
Enterprise+ and the Free plan
Enterprise+ is quote-only. Slack's pricing page lists unlimited workspaces against one on every other plan, multiple SAML configurations, SCIM that supports guests, enterprise search across connected apps and systems, Enterprise Key Management as an add-on, and 24/7 priority support with a four-hour first response. It is built for organizations running several business units or regulated workloads, and the price depends on the contract.
Free costs $0 and works for small groups that live in the present. It keeps 90 days of searchable history, allows 10 app integrations, limits huddles and Slack Connect to one-to-one, and deletes data after one year. A club, a side project or a short-term team can run on it indefinitely. A company that needs to find last quarter's decision cannot, and our free Slack alternatives list covers tools with more generous free tiers.
What Slack costs a team of 10, 25 or 50
| Team size | Pro, annual | Pro, monthly | Business+, annual | Business+, monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 users | $870 | $1,050 | $1,800 | $2,160 |
| 25 users | $2,175 | $2,625 | $4,500 | $5,400 |
| 50 users | $4,350 | $5,250 | $9,000 | $10,800 |
Each figure multiplies the per-user monthly price by the number of users and by 12 months, at the list prices on Slack's pricing page on 18 October 2026, with every user active all year and no promotion applied.
At 50 users, the gap between Pro annual and Business+ monthly is $6,450 a year. That is the price of picking the wrong combination, and most of it comes from the plan rather than the billing cycle. Moving a 50-person team from Pro to Business+ on annual billing adds $4,650 a year, which is the sum to weigh against the cost of managing access by hand.
Is the 50% promotion worth it?
Slack's 50% offer applies to the first three months of monthly billing. On Pro, a user would pay three months at the discounted rate and nine at the full monthly rate, $91.89 for the first year, against $87 on the annual plan. On Business+, the same pattern gives $189 against $180 annually.
So the promotion is cheaper only for a team that is not sure it will stay a year. If you expect to keep Slack, the annual plan costs less from day one, and you avoid the jump to the full monthly price in month four. Check the offer's terms on Slack's page before you rely on it, since the asterisk on the pricing card carries conditions.
Fair billing: you only pay for active users
Slack's fair billing policy charges only for active members. Its pricing page says a member who takes an action in Slack within a 28-day period counts as active, and that if someone you have already paid for becomes inactive, Slack adds a prorated credit to your account for the unused time. New members are charged a prorated amount for the rest of the billing period.
The effect is that the annual bill above is a ceiling, not a floor. A 25-person team on Pro annual where five people go quiet for most of the year, such as seasonal staff or contractors between projects, gets credits back on those seats. That makes Slack's annual plan less of a lock-in than a flat seat license, though the credits land on your account rather than as cash.
Billing runs by credit card on any plan. Annual customers may be eligible to pay by invoice through ACH or wire, and annual plans that add members mid-term see the extra charge at the end of that month.
How Slack compares on price
Against Microsoft, Slack is usually the second bill rather than the only one, because Teams comes inside Microsoft 365. Our Slack vs Microsoft Teams comparison works through a 25-user scenario with both price lists. Teams already paying for Google Workspace face a similar choice, so price Slack as an addition to the suite rather than on its own.
For a buyer comparing collaboration tools on one budget, our video conferencing pricing comparison and the SaaS pricing changes tracker cover the wider stack, and the Notion pricing and ClickUp pricing guides price the tools that often sit next to Slack. Frequently asked questions
How much does Slack cost per user in 2026?

Is Slack free?
Yes, Slack has a free plan with 90 days of message history, up to 10 app integrations, and one-to-one huddles and external messages. Free Slack deletes data after one year, so teams that need a permanent record need a paid plan.
What is the difference between Slack Pro and Business+?
Business+ adds SAML single sign-on, SCIM user management, ongoing access to Slackbot, AI search, daily recaps and file summaries, posting permissions in any channel, and 24/7 support with a four-hour first response time. Pro has unlimited history and integrations but signs in through Google OAuth.
How much does Slack cost for 25 users?
$2,175 a year on Pro billed annually, $2,625 on Pro billed monthly, $4,500 on Business+ annually and $5,400 on Business+ monthly, at Slack's list prices with all 25 users active. Fair billing credits back seats that go inactive.

Is annual or monthly billing cheaper on Slack?
Annual billing is cheaper over a full year, even against the 50% promotion on the first three months of monthly billing. On Pro, a user costs $87 a year billed annually and $91.89 in the first year with the monthly promotion.
Sources and method
We read Slack's pricing page, including its plan comparison table and billing FAQ, on 18 October 2026, with prices shown in US dollars. Team totals multiply printed per-user monthly prices by seats and 12 months; promotion totals apply the printed discounted price to three months and the full monthly price to nine. They exclude tax and any negotiated contract. The Toolradar figures come from Slack on Toolradar, and Microsoft Teams is profiled there too.
Slack changes promotions and AI packaging during the year, so confirm the price on its pricing page before you buy.
