Loom Pricing 2026: Free Limits, Business and Business + AI

Loom pricing in 2026: Starter is free, Business is $18 and Business + AI $24 per user a month, or $180 and $240 a year. Limits, seats and team totals.

Loom Pricing 2026: Free Limits, Business and Business + AI

Loom's Starter plan is free in 2026, with 25 videos per person and a 5-minute cap on screen recordings. Business costs $18 per user a month on monthly billing, or $180 per user a year, and Business + AI costs $24 a month or $240 a year. Enterprise is priced by sales.

For anyone who records weekly, the free plan works more like a trial: twenty-five videos of five minutes each is enough to test Loom, not to run async updates for a team, so most teams end up choosing between the two paid plans. The real decision is whether the AI features are worth $60 more per person per year on annual billing.

Prices were read on 19 October 2026 on Loom's pricing page, with a cross-check on Atlassian's Loom pricing page, since Atlassian now owns Loom. How the recorder performs day to day is in our Loom review.

Toolradar data: on Toolradar, the software directory we run, Loom is listed as an alternative to 62 other tools, the most of any product in its async video category of 21 tools, and it is also the most-listed alternative among the 114 tools in screen recording, as of October 2026. Techpresso data: Techpresso reaches 790,000+ readers with a 37% open rate, per the audience file dated October 25, 2026.

What does each Loom plan include?

Starter: free, but capped on volume and length

Starter includes screen and camera recording, unlimited screenshots, transcriptions in more than 50 languages, auto titles, comments and emoji reactions, and video quality up to 720p. Meeting recordings are not capped in length, which is a newer addition, but screen recordings stop at five minutes.

The limit that bites is 25 videos per person. A manager who sends three updates a week reaches it in about two months and then has to delete old videos or pay. Starter also has no trimming, no password protection and no branding removal, so client-facing videos carry the Loom logo.

On team size, the two pricing pages disagree. Loom.com lists Starter with up to 50 workspace members, while Atlassian's Loom page lists it at up to 10 users. As workspaces move to Atlassian billing, plan around the lower number.

Business: unlimited recording and basic editing

Business removes the video and length caps, raises quality to 4K, and adds trim and stitch, Live Rewind, custom thumbnails, embedded links, uploads and downloads, password-protected videos and engagement insights. It also removes Loom branding from the video page and the embedded player, and adds your logo and player colors.

This is the plan for anyone who sends Looms to customers or prospects, because branding and password protection only start here. Support is also listed from Business upward, not on Starter.

Business + AI: summaries, chapters and meeting notes

Business + AI adds the Loom AI suite: auto summaries and chapters, AI workflows that turn a video into docs or messages, automatic meeting notes and recap emails, filler-word and silence removal, editing by transcript, and text and arrow overlays. It also adds admin insights, advanced privacy controls, custom data retention and download restrictions.

The AI premium is $6 per user per month on monthly billing, or $60 per user per year on annual. For a team that records a lot of internal walkthroughs, auto chapters and summaries save viewers time; for a team that mostly sends short replies, Business covers the job. Loom's FAQ notes that OpenAI receives transcript text, not video or audio, to generate titles and summaries, which matters if your security team reviews AI vendors.

Enterprise: security and admin controls

Enterprise adds Atlassian Guard Standard (enforced SSO, SCIM provisioning and an audit log), a Salesforce integration, a 99.95% uptime SLA, Zoom import and account transfer of content. There is no published price, and Loom offers a 14-day Enterprise trial through sales.

What does Loom cost for a team of 10?

We priced 10 recording seats at Loom's list prices, using the per-user rates from its pricing page on 19 October 2026.

Plan 10 users, monthly billing for a year 10 users, annual billing
Business $2,160 $1,800
Business + AI $2,880 $2,400

Computed by Techpresso: users times the published monthly price times 12, or users times the published yearly price.

Annual billing saves this team $360 on Business and $480 on Business + AI. The step from Business to Business + AI on annual billing is $600 a year for 10 people, which is the number to weigh against the time AI summaries and meeting notes save.

These totals use Loom.com's billing, which charges annual plans by the exact number of paid users. Atlassian.com charges annual plans by user tier, a flat rate for a band of users, so a team buying through Atlassian may pay for a few more seats than it uses.

The free Creator Lite seat is going away

Until now, a Loom workspace could include Creator Lite members at no charge, alongside paid Creators on Business. Many companies used that split to pay only for the people who recorded often.

Atlassian is discontinuing the Creator Lite role. Its help article on the Loom integration says every Creator Lite user is upgraded to a full paid Creator seat on the workspace's integration date. There is a grace period until the next billing date, during which the new seats are not charged, and admins can deactivate anyone they do not want to pay for.

The cost jump can be large. A workspace with 5 paid creators and 20 Creator Lites pays for 5 seats today and 25 after the change: at Business annual list price, that is $900 a year becoming $4,500, unless the admin removes inactive users first. The same article says existing customers are moving to current list prices, and Atlassian describes it as their first price increase.

What to do before your integration date: pull the six-month user activity export in Loom's admin tools, and deactivate people who rarely record before they turn into paid seats.

Hidden costs and rules to know

  • No refund for removed seats mid-cycle. Loom's FAQ says a deactivated member's seat forfeits its fees for the rest of the billing cycle.
  • Sales tax. Atlassian's integration article says businesses pay sales tax under local rules, on top of list prices.
  • Volume discounts only at scale. Monthly plans with 100 or more users get per-seat volume discounts through Atlassian billing.
  • The trial is Business + AI only. Loom's 14-day trial covers Business + AI; there is no separate trial of plain Business.
  • Education pricing exists. Loom is part of Atlassian's educator discount program, verified separately.

Loom vs Zight on price

Zight is the closest like-for-like screen recorder with published per-user pricing. Both prices below are annual billing, read on each vendor's page on 19 October 2026.

Tool Free plan Entry paid plan, annual AI-included team plan, annual
Loom Starter, 25 videos per person Business, $15 per user/mo Business + AI, $20 per user/mo
Zight Share Create, $9.95 per user/mo Collaborate, $12 per user/mo

Source: Zight pricing and Loom pricing.

Zight is cheaper at every paid tier. Its Collaborate plan includes unlimited AI and smart actions, custom branding and CTAs at $12 per user a month billed yearly, so 10 users pay $1,440 a year against $2,400 for Loom Business + AI. Zight's Create plan limits AI smart actions to 5 a month, so the fair AI comparison is Collaborate.

Loom's case is reach and integrations: it works inside Slack, Jira, Confluence, GitHub and Gmail on every plan, and it is now part of the Atlassian stack. Teams already on Jira and Confluence get Loom entry points in those menus when they buy through Atlassian. Our best screen recording tools ranking compares the wider field, and teams that need real editing should read the Descript review or the business video editing roundup.

Which Loom plan should you buy?

  • Stay on Starter if you record a few short videos a month and can live with 25 videos and the Loom logo.
  • Buy Business for anyone who records regularly, sends videos outside the company, or needs password protection.
  • Buy Business + AI when your team records long walkthroughs or meetings and viewers need chapters, summaries or notes.
  • Talk to sales about Enterprise when your security team requires SSO and SCIM.

Count the people who actually record before you buy, and do it before your Creator Lite seats convert. Loom sits next to your chat tool in most stacks; see Slack pricing and video conferencing pricing for the other lines on that bill. Seat-rule changes like this one are what our SaaS pricing changes tracker follows, and the Techpresso newsletter sends them as they happen.

How we checked

Plan prices, limits, features, the 17% annual saving, the trial terms, the seat rules and the Loom.com versus Atlassian.com billing difference come from Loom's pricing page and its FAQ, read on 19 October 2026. The 10-user Starter limit comes from Atlassian's Loom pricing page. The Creator Lite change, the price alignment for existing customers, volume discounts and sales tax come from Atlassian's article on Loom's integration with Atlassian. Zight prices come from Zight's pricing page, read the same day.

Team totals are our arithmetic on those list prices, not quotes. Louis Corneloup, founder of Toolradar and Dupple, wrote this page. Our method is on how we rate, corrections on the editorial policy, and the author note on about.

Is Loom free?

Yes, Loom's Starter plan is free. It allows 25 videos per person, screen recordings up to 5 minutes, 720p quality and unlimited screenshots. Meeting recordings have no length cap, but trimming, branding removal and password protection need a paid plan.

What is the difference between Loom Business and Business + AI?

Business gives unlimited videos and recording time, 4K quality, trimming, branding control and password protection. Business + AI adds auto summaries, chapters, meeting notes and recaps, AI workflows, filler-word removal and editing by transcript, for $6 more per user per month on monthly billing.

Does Loom have a free trial?

Yes. Loom offers a 14-day free trial of Business + AI from its pricing page. A 14-day Enterprise trial is available by contacting sales. The Starter plan is free with no time limit.

Why is my Loom bill going up?

Two changes land when a workspace moves to Atlassian billing. Deactivate inactive users before then to avoid paying for them.

Is Loom cheaper on annual billing?

Yes. Loom says annual billing saves 17%. Business drops from $18 to $15 per user per month, and Business + AI from $24 to $20, both paid as one yearly charge per user.

Zight costs less on annual billing: Create is $9.95 per user a month and Collaborate, which includes unlimited AI, is $12. Loom's advantage is its integrations with Slack, Jira, Confluence and GitHub on every plan and its place in the Atlassian stack.
