Zoom Pricing 2026: Basic, Pro, Business and Meeting Limits

Zoom pricing in 2026: Basic is free with a 40-minute cap, Pro is $16.99 and Business $21.99 per user a month, or $14.16 and $18.33 billed annually.

Zoom Pricing 2026: Basic, Pro, Business and Meeting Limits

Zoom Workplace Basic is free in 2026, with meetings capped at 40 minutes and 100 participants. Pro costs $16.99 per user a month on monthly billing, or $14.16 a month billed annually, and lifts meetings to 30 hours. Business costs $21.99 a month, or $18.33 billed annually, and raises the cap to 300 participants. Enterprise is priced by sales.

For most small teams the choice is Pro versus Business, and the deciding number is participants, not features. Pro keeps the 100-person cap of the free plan; Business is the cheapest plan that hosts 300 people without an add-on. If your all-hands or client calls stay under 100, Pro is enough.

Prices were read on 19 October 2026 on Zoom's pricing page, in its US-dollar view, with both billing periods. What the product does well and badly is covered in our Zoom review.

Annual billing is one upfront charge. Zoom's footnote says annual plans are billed once a year, and the monthly figure shown is the yearly total divided by 12. The page labels annual billing as saving up to 16%, so Pro works out to about $170 per user per year paid in advance, against roughly $204 at the monthly rate.

What does each Zoom plan include?

Basic: free, with a 40-minute ceiling

Basic includes meetings of up to 40 minutes with 100 participants, team chat, three editable whiteboards, five two-minute Clips, and calendar and email connections. Its AI features are capped: meeting summaries for three hosted meetings a month, 20 AI queries, and three uses of AI note-taking.

The 40-minute cap is the only limit most people notice. A weekly team meeting that runs 45 minutes gets cut off, and so does any client call that overruns. Participants do not need a Zoom account to join, so the free plan suits people who mostly attend meetings rather than host them.

Pro: 30-hour meetings for small teams

Pro lifts meetings to 30 hours while keeping the 100-participant cap. It adds unlimited meeting summaries and in-meeting AI questions, unlimited AI note-taking across Zoom, Teams, Meet and in-person meetings, Zoom Mail and Calendar, unlimited Clips, 10 GB of cloud storage per user and live chat support.

Pro still has three whiteboards, the same as Basic, and no single sign-on. That matters only if your team works on shared boards or your IT team requires SSO; for straightforward meetings, Pro is the plan that removes the free tier's friction.

Business: 300 participants and admin controls

Business adds the 300-participant cap, company branding and vanity URLs, a scheduler for one-on-one, group or round-robin bookings, single sign-on and managed domains, and unlimited whiteboards. Regulated teams also get information barriers, data loss prevention and archival APIs.

The jump from Pro to Business is $5 per user a month on monthly billing. You pay it for the participant cap and the admin features, not for longer meetings or more storage: both plans list 30-hour meetings and 10 GB per user.

Enterprise: 1,000 participants, phone and webinars

Enterprise raises the cap to 1,000 participants and adds a full-featured PBX phone system, webinars for 500 attendees, workspace reservation, visitor management, translated captions and customer-managed encryption keys. Pricing is by quote.

Monthly or annual billing: which should you choose?

Choose monthly billing while your headcount is moving. A team that hires or loses people every quarter pays the higher monthly rate but can drop a license next month, while an annual plan charges the whole year on day one and the saving only arrives if every seat stays in use.

Choose annual billing once the host count is stable. The saving is real money at team scale, as the table below shows, and Zoom presents it as up to 16% off. A useful rule: if you would cancel a seat within about ten months, monthly billing probably costs less in practice than paying for a year you do not use.

What does Zoom cost for a team of 10?

We priced 10 licensed hosts on Pro and Business with the per-user rates on Zoom's pricing page, read 19 October 2026. Annual totals are approximate, because Zoom shows the annual rate as a monthly average rather than printing the yearly charge.

Plan 10 hosts, monthly billing for a year 10 hosts, annual billing
Pro $2,038.80 About $1,700
Business $2,638.80 About $2,200

Computed by Techpresso: hosts times the monthly price times 12, and hosts times the annual monthly-equivalent times 12.

Annual billing saves this team about $340 a year on Pro. Upgrading all 10 hosts from Pro to Business costs about $500 more a year on annual billing, so if only one person runs large meetings, price a Large Meeting add-on for that host before upgrading everyone.

Only hosts need licenses. Zoom states that participants join free from any device and do not need an account, so a 10-person team that invites 90 guests still pays for 10 seats.

Add-ons that raise the bill

Zoom sells extras on the same pricing page, each listed as a monthly charge:

  • Large Meeting: from $50 a month for 500 participants, scaling up to 5,000.
  • Cloud Storage: from $10 a month for 30 GB, on top of the 10 GB per user on Pro and Business.
  • ZoomMate, the AI teammate: $20 a month.
  • AI Productivity Suite for Docs, Sheets and Slides work: $10 a month.
  • Live Translation: $5 a month.
  • Audio Conferencing (dial-in numbers): from $100 a month.

Storage is the add-on most teams hit first. At 10 GB per user, a team that records every meeting to the cloud fills the allowance quickly, and the next step is a paid storage block.

Support also depends on spend. Zoom's comparison table lists live chat support for accounts paying over $10 a month and live phone support only for accounts over $200 a month, so a small Pro account gets chat, not phone.

Is Zoom cheaper than Microsoft Teams or Google Meet?

Not for a team that only needs meetings. All three prices below are annual billing, read on each vendor's pricing page on 19 October 2026.

Tool Entry paid plan, annual Meeting length Participants
Zoom Workplace Pro $14.16 per user/mo 30 hours 100
Microsoft Teams Essentials $4 per user/mo, paid yearly 30 hours 300
Google Workspace Business Starter $7 per user/mo, annual plan Not listed on the plan card 100

Sources: Microsoft Teams Essentials, Google Workspace pricing, and Zoom pricing.

Teams Essentials is the cheapest meeting seat here: for 10 users it costs $480 a year and already includes 300 participants, which on Zoom requires Business. Google Workspace Business Starter costs $840 a year for 10 users and bundles the rest of Google Workspace, with video meetings for 100 participants.

Zoom's case is the meeting product itself plus the AI features included on Pro, such as unlimited summaries and note-taking across other meeting apps. Teams already paying for Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 get meetings in that bundle, and should check whether a separate Zoom seat adds enough. Our Zoom vs Google Meet vs Teams comparison covers the product differences, and video conferencing pricing compared prices seven tools for the same team. For the suite side, see Google Workspace pricing.

Which Zoom plan should you buy?

  • Stay on Basic if you mostly join other people's meetings or host calls that fit in 40 minutes.
  • Buy Pro for anyone who hosts meetings longer than 40 minutes with up to 100 people.
  • Buy Business when you regularly host more than 100 people, need SSO, or want branded meeting links.
  • Price the Large Meeting add-on when only one host runs big sessions.
  • Talk to sales about Enterprise when you need phone, webinars and 1,000-person meetings in one contract.

How we checked

Plan prices on both billing periods, meeting limits, participant caps, storage, whiteboards, support thresholds and add-on prices come from Zoom's pricing page, read on 19 October 2026 with the currency set to US dollars. Competitor prices come from Microsoft's Teams Essentials page and Google Workspace pricing, read the same day.

Team totals are our arithmetic on those list prices, not quotes, and annual totals are rounded because Zoom does not print the yearly charge. Louis Corneloup, founder of Toolradar and Dupple, wrote this page. Our method is on how we rate, corrections on the editorial policy, and the author note on about.

FAQ

How much does Zoom cost per month in 2026?

Zoom Workplace Pro costs $16.99 per user per month on monthly billing, and Business costs $21.99. On annual billing they work out to $14.16 and $18.33 per user per month, charged as one upfront yearly payment. Basic is free, and Enterprise is priced by sales.

Is Zoom free?

Yes. Zoom Workplace Basic is free, with meetings up to 40 minutes and 100 participants, team chat, three whiteboards and limited AI summaries and note-taking. Longer meetings need a paid plan.

What is the time limit on a free Zoom meeting?

Free Basic meetings end at 40 minutes. Pro, Business and Enterprise all allow meetings of up to 30 hours, so the cheapest way past the cap is a Pro license for the host.

How many people can join a Zoom meeting?

Basic and Pro allow 100 participants, Business allows 300, and Enterprise allows 1,000. The Large Meeting add-on starts at $50 a month for 500 participants and scales up to 5,000.

Do participants need a paid Zoom account?

No. Only the host needs a license. Zoom says participants can join from phone, desktop, mobile or tablet without a Zoom account, so a team pays for the people who host meetings, not for guests.

Is Zoom cheaper on annual billing?

Yes. Zoom says annual billing saves up to 16%, which takes $2.83 off Pro and $3.66 off Business per user per month. The catch is that the whole year is charged up front, so the saving depends on keeping every seat in use for the full year.

Is Microsoft Teams cheaper than Zoom?

For meetings alone, yes. Microsoft Teams Essentials costs $4 per user per month, paid yearly, with 30-hour meetings and 300 participants, while Zoom Pro on annual billing costs more than three times as much and keeps a 100-participant cap.
