HubSpot vs Pipedrive 2026: Pricing and Which CRM Wins
HubSpot vs Pipedrive in 2026: Sales Hub Starter at $7 a seat against Pipedrive Lite at $14, onboarding fees, forecasting and AI, and a 5-seat yearly cost model.

HubSpot wins for a small team that wants a free CRM or the cheapest paid seat: two users run free, and Sales Hub Starter costs $7 a seat a month billed annually, half of Pipedrive Lite at $14. Pipedrive wins once the team needs forecasting: Growth at $39 a seat includes a forecast view, while HubSpot keeps forecasting for Professional at $90 a seat plus a $1,500 onboarding fee. Prices as of 17 October 2026, read on both vendors' pricing pages.
The two products start from different ideas. HubSpot is a platform where the CRM is free and the money is in the hubs and tiers on top of it. Pipedrive is a sales pipeline tool sold per seat, with no free plan, where the tiers add email, automation and AI step by step. The cheaper choice depends almost entirely on which tier your sales process forces you into.
Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, evaluated 504 CRM tools for its October 2026 CRM ranking, and only 5 of its 10 top picks have a free plan. HubSpot is the most-listed alternative in the category, named as an alternative to 148 tools, against 43 for Pipedrive, which shows how often buyers cross-shop the two.
Price at a glance, per seat, billed annually
| Tier | HubSpot Sales Hub | Pipedrive | 5 seats, 12 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Free for up to 2 users | No free plan | HubSpot only: free for 2 of the 5 |
| Entry | Starter, $7 ($20 billed monthly) | Lite, $14 | HubSpot $420, Pipedrive $840 |
| Second tier | Professional, $90 ($100 billed monthly), $1,500 onboarding | Growth, $39 | HubSpot $6,900 in year one, Pipedrive $2,340 |
| Third tier | Enterprise, $150, $3,500 onboarding | Premium, $59 | HubSpot $12,500 in year one, Pipedrive $3,540 |
| Top tier | Enterprise is HubSpot's top tier | Ultimate, $79 | Pipedrive $4,740 |
Yearly totals multiply the annual per-seat rate by 5 seats and 12 months, and add HubSpot's one-time onboarding fee to year one. Both vendors charge more for monthly billing; HubSpot prints both rates, and Pipedrive's help center confirms the annual plan is paid upfront at a discount.
The table hides one important mismatch. Tier names do not line up: HubSpot Starter competes with Pipedrive Growth on features, not with Lite, and HubSpot Professional competes with Pipedrive Premium. The rounds below compare like with like.
Round 1: free plan. HubSpot wins
HubSpot's free CRM covers up to 2 users with no credit card, capped at 1,000 contacts, and includes basic sales tools, the mobile app and live chat with HubSpot branding. Pipedrive has no free plan at all. For a founder and one salesperson, HubSpot Free is a working pipeline at zero cost; the 1,000-contact cap is the line that ends it, and it arrives fast for any team importing an old lead list.
Round 2: entry tier. HubSpot wins
HubSpot Starter at $7 a seat includes email templates, snippets, up to 15 pipelines across object types and up to 50 workflows with restricted triggers. Sequences are not on Starter: HubSpot's feature comparison lists them from Professional, with up to 500 sequence email sends per user a day (read 19 October 2026). Pipedrive Lite at twice the price covers pipelines, deal management, contacts, the API and mobile apps with call logging, but the help center lists no email sync, no automations and no AI on Lite.
For a team that emails prospects from the CRM, Lite is not a real option, so Pipedrive's true entry point is Growth. At 5 seats Growth costs more than five times HubSpot Starter's $420 a year. HubSpot keeps this round easily for one-to-one email from templates, as long as the team can live without sequences and forecasting.
Round 3: forecasting and pipeline management. Pipedrive wins
Pipedrive Growth adds email sync, templates and tracking, automations with delays and conditions, a meeting scheduler, sequences and a forecast view of revenue. HubSpot lists forecasting only on Professional and Enterprise, so a sales manager who needs a revenue projection from the CRM moves from Starter straight to Professional at $90 a seat, plus the onboarding fee.
For 5 seats that step costs $6,900 in HubSpot's first year, roughly three times the Pipedrive Growth bill in the table above. Professional does add a lot for the money, including up to 300 workflows, up to 100 pipelines, call transcription and 3,000 HubSpot Credits, so the comparison is not apples to apples. A team whose only missing feature is a forecast still pays a heavy premium on HubSpot to get it. Our Pipedrive review covers the rest of Growth's feature set.
Round 4: automation and AI. Split
HubSpot meters automation by tier: Starter lists up to 50 workflows, Professional up to 300 and Enterprise up to 1,000, with 500, 3,000 and 5,000 HubSpot Credits for AI and data features. Pipedrive brings automations in at Growth and AI at Premium, where the help center lists AI email creation and summarization, Smart Docs and Projects, multiple Insights dashboards and custom permission sets.
The split is about who needs what. A team that wants AI help writing and summarizing emails gets it at $59 a seat on Pipedrive Premium, well under HubSpot Professional. Teams that want that help outside the CRM can compare our best AI email assistants. A team that wants hundreds of workflows across marketing and service, not only sales, gets more room on HubSpot, because those workflows live on the same platform as its marketing tools.
Round 5: lead capture and marketing. HubSpot wins
HubSpot's CRM sits under its Marketing, Service and Content hubs, so forms, email marketing and the CRM share one contact record when you buy them. Pipedrive keeps lead capture in LeadBooster (chatbot, live chat, web forms and the Prospector database), included from Premium and sold as a paid add-on on Lite and Growth, and email marketing in a separate Campaigns add-on priced by subscriber tier.
That makes Pipedrive's real bill harder to predict for a team that also runs marketing from the CRM. A pure outbound sales team will not notice, and may care more about the prospect data covered in our best sales intelligence software ranking; a team with inbound forms and newsletters will pay for add-ons that HubSpot bundles into its hubs. Teams weighing the marketing side should read our best CRM software ranking, which covers the all-in-one suites.
Round 6: enterprise controls. Pipedrive wins on price
Pipedrive Ultimate at $79 a seat adds contact data enrichment, security alerts and security rules on top of Premium. HubSpot Enterprise costs $150 a seat with a $3,500 onboarding fee, and adds up to 350 pipelines, up to 1,000 workflows and forecasting with team hierarchies. For a 5-seat team, a year of Pipedrive's top tier costs less than 40% of HubSpot Enterprise's first year. HubSpot Enterprise is built for larger revenue teams that need hierarchy-level forecasting and the platform's breadth.
What does each CRM cost a 5-person sales team?
| Scenario (5 seats, billed annually) | HubSpot | Pipedrive |
|---|---|---|
| Pipeline only, no email from the CRM | $420 (Starter) | $840 (Lite) |
| Email sequences from the CRM | $6,900 year one (Professional) | $2,340 (Growth) |
| Email plus a revenue forecast | $6,900 year one (Professional) | $2,340 (Growth) |
| AI email help and custom permissions | $6,900 year one (Professional) | $3,540 (Premium) |
Techpresso data: we built this table on 17 October 2026 from the per-seat annual prices on both vendors' pricing pages, matching each scenario to the cheapest tier that lists the feature, and adding HubSpot's one-time onboarding fee to year one. In year two HubSpot Professional drops to $5,400 for 5 seats, still more than any Pipedrive tier in the table. Add-ons, taxes and negotiated discounts are excluded.
The pattern is consistent across the four rows: HubSpot is cheapest when your needs stop at Starter. Pipedrive is cheapest the moment you need sequences, forecasting or AI and do not need HubSpot's marketing platform. For more tools priced on the same basis, see our cheapest CRM software comparison.
Who should pick which
Pick HubSpot if you are two people and want a free CRM, if your team emails prospects one to one from templates and needs neither sequences nor forecasts, or if marketing and service will run on the same contact database. Starter is the cheapest paid seat on this page by a wide margin. Watch the step to Professional: the per-seat price jumps more than twelvefold and the onboarding fee is mandatory. Gmail-first teams should also check our best CRM for Gmail list.
Pick Pipedrive if your team lives in a deal pipeline, needs a revenue forecast, and wants AI email help without a platform contract. Growth is the tier most sales teams will land on, and Premium bundles lead capture that HubSpot sells through its hubs. Budget for the Campaigns add-on if you send newsletters from the CRM.
Pick neither if you need a free plan for more than 2 users or the lowest yearly bill for a larger team. Our best free CRM software and best CRM for small business rankings cover the alternatives, and the Pipedrive vs HubSpot comparison on Toolradar lines up the two products' listed features.

How we checked
HubSpot prices and tier contents come from HubSpot's Sales Hub pricing page and its CRM pricing page, read on 17 October 2026 in US dollars. Pipedrive prices come from Pipedrive's pricing page, and tier contents from its help center article on what each plan includes, read the same day. Toolradar's records for HubSpot and Pipedrive supply the category counts.
Every yearly total multiplies the annual list rate by the seat count and 12 months. The totals are list prices, not quotes, and both pricing pages change often, so re-read them before you sign. Our SaaS pricing changes tracker logs recent moves.
