TL;DR

Short answer: For 10 people billed yearly, Proton Pass Essentials is the lowest price we can confirm in US dollars: $238.80 a year. 1Password's Teams Starter Pack is $299.40 for up to 10 members, and Bitwarden Teams is $480. If you need SSO, Proton Pass Professional at $538.80 is the lowest plan we rank that includes it.

Key facts7 tools compared: Proton Pass, 1Password, Bitwarden, Dashlane, Enpass, Passbolt, Keeper
  • Updated: October 18, 2026
  • Top pick: Proton Pass (best for: Teams that want the lowest verified price at 10 people, and SSO only if they pay for Professional)
  • Top pick price as of October 18, 2026: Proton Pass: From $1.99/user/mo billed annually (Essentials, 3-user minimum); Professional is $4.49/user/mo with SSO.
  • 7 tools compared: Proton Pass, 1Password, Bitwarden, Dashlane, Enpass, Passbolt, Keeper
  • 1Password (best for: Teams that want identity-provider integrations with Okta or Entra ID and can pay for Business): Teams Starter Pack $24.95/mo billed annually for up to 10 members; Business $8.99/user/mo billed annually.
  • Bitwarden (best for: Budget teams that want directory sync and SCIM provisioning at $4 a user, plus a free two-person share): Teams $4/user/mo billed annually; Enterprise $6/user/mo billed annually, which adds passwordless SSO.
  • Dashlane (best for: Teams that want SSO and SCIM on one plan and accept a per-seat price): Password Management $8/user/mo billed annually, with a 14-day trial; SSO and SCIM are listed on that plan.

Team password managers look alike on a feature grid and split on the invoice. Ten people on 1Password Business spend $1,078.80 a year, while ten on Proton's Essentials plan spend a fraction of that, and both can share a vault.

The gap widens when you need single sign-on, because some vendors put it on the entry plan and others keep it for a top tier.

Toolradar data: Toolradar tracks 37 password managers as of 12 October 2026, and two of the ten tools on its top list have a free plan.

Top Pick

Proton Pass

The cheapest plan with a dollar price we can confirm at $238.80 a year for 10 people, with SSO only from Professional.

Pricing
From $1.99/user/mo billed annually (Essentials, 3-user minimum); Professional is $4.49/user/mo with SSO.

Best for: Teams that want the lowest verified price at 10 people, and SSO only if they pay for Professional

Pros

  • Essentials is the lowest 10-user total in this ranking, so it opens the table
  • Professional adds SSO and SCIM, and it is the lowest-priced ranked plan with SSO
  • Both business plans include passkey support, a built-in 2FA authenticator and dark web monitoring

Cons

  • Essentials has no SSO or SCIM, so user access is managed inside the app
  • The 3-user minimum means a two-person team still pays for three seats
2 1Password logo

1Password

The Teams Starter Pack is the cheapest flat price for 10 people, but identity-provider integrations need Business, the costliest plan here at 10 users.

Pricing
Teams Starter Pack $24.95/mo billed annually for up to 10 members; Business $8.99/user/mo billed annually.

Best for: Teams that want identity-provider integrations with Okta or Entra ID and can pay for Business

Pros

  • Business adds Okta, Entra ID, OneLogin and Duo integrations that the Starter Pack does not include
  • Business has a 14-day trial, so a team can test it before paying
  • Developer tools such as SSH key signing, Git commit signing and a CLI come with the plan

Cons

  • The Starter Pack stops at 20 members, and each seat from 11 to 20 adds $4.99 a month
  • Business at $1,078.80 a year for 10 people is about 3.6 times the Starter Pack price
3 Bitwarden logo

Bitwarden

The Teams plan is $480 a year for 10 people with SCIM; passwordless SSO needs the $6 Enterprise plan at $720.

Pricing
Teams $4/user/mo billed annually; Enterprise $6/user/mo billed annually, which adds passwordless SSO.

Best for: Budget teams that want directory sync and SCIM provisioning at $4 a user, plus a free two-person share

Pros

  • Teams includes SCIM provisioning, a directory feature Proton Essentials does not have, plus audit event logs
  • Enterprise adds passwordless SSO, enterprise policies and the option to self-host
  • A free organization shares items with one other Bitwarden user at no cost

Cons

  • Teams has SCIM and directory sync but no SSO login, which needs the Enterprise plan
  • The free organization covers only one other user, so a team of three or more needs a paid plan
4 Dashlane logo

Dashlane

Password Management is billed per user and annually, so 10 people pay $960 a year with SSO and SCIM included.

Pricing
Password Management $8/user/mo billed annually, with a 14-day trial; SSO and SCIM are listed on that plan.

Best for: Teams that want SSO and SCIM on one plan and accept a per-seat price

Pros

  • SSO and SCIM integrations sit on the entry Password Management plan rather than a top tier
  • Secure sharing of workforce passwords and admin password policies are part of the same plan
  • Dashlane's own FAQ confirms a 14-day free trial on the Password Management package

Cons

  • At 10 users it costs more than Proton Pass Professional, which also includes SSO and SCIM
  • Each added seat costs the full $8 a month, so headcount growth raises the bill at the same rate
5 Enpass logo

Enpass

Business lists SSO, SCIM and a data location inside Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, at a price with no currency code.

Pricing
Business plan $1.99/user/mo billed yearly; the page prints a dollar sign with no currency code.

Best for: Teams that need SSO and SCIM and want the vault kept inside Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace

Pros

  • Business lists Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace as the data location for the vault
  • SSO, SCIM provisioning and an audit dashboard are listed on the Business plan itself
  • The business page states ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type II audits

Cons

  • The dollar figure has no currency code, so the 10-user cost cannot be placed in a US-dollar ranking
  • Taxes are added at checkout, so the invoice will exceed the list figure
6 Passbolt logo

Passbolt

Community Edition costs nothing with unlimited users; Pro adds SSO and LDAP provisioning, priced in euros with a 10-user minimum.

Pricing
Community Edition free with unlimited users, self-hosted; Pro is €4.5/user/mo billed annually (no US dollar price).

Best for: Teams with an in-house admin who will host the server and want open-source code

Pros

  • Community Edition is free forever with unlimited users under an AGPLv3 license
  • Pro adds SSO with Microsoft, Google and OpenID, plus LDAP provisioning and an activity log
  • The page promises full data ownership, because you run the server yourself

Cons

  • Pro's price is in euros with no US dollar figure on the page, so it is not ranked
  • Pro needs at least 10 users, so a five-person team cannot buy it
7 Keeper logo

Keeper

Keeper's Business plan includes shared team folders and role-based policies, and SSO sits in Enterprise, sold by quote.

Pricing
Business and Enterprise show per-user billing with no dollar figure; Enterprise is quote-only.

Best for: Organizations that will take a sales quote for SSO and want Keeper's Enterprise tier

Pros

  • Business includes encrypted vaults, shared team folders, role-based policies and basic two-factor authentication
  • Enterprise adds single sign-on, according to Keeper's pricing FAQ
  • Keeper's FAQ bills both tiers per user and annually, so seat counts are easy to compare

Cons

  • No dollar figure appears for Business or Enterprise on the pricing page, so it cannot be ranked on cost
  • Enterprise is sold through a quote, which means a sales call before you know the price

What it is

A team password manager stores shared logins in an encrypted vault, lets admins add and remove people, and can connect to an identity provider so that a departing employee loses access in one place. The price is per user, but the plan decides which of those jobs you get.

SSO and SCIM provisioning are the two features that matter once a company has an identity provider, and they are where vendors split their plans.

For the wider category, see Toolradar's profiles for 1Password, Bitwarden and Proton Pass. The prices here come from each vendor's own pricing page, not from Toolradar.

Why it matters

At 10 users the most expensive plan here costs more than four times the cheapest, before any add-on. The cheapest plans use a low per-seat rate or a flat fee and leave out SSO.

The ranked plans that include SSO cost $538.80 to $1,078.80 at the same headcount, so pay the higher figure only when people really sign in through an identity provider.

Team size widens the gap between the two cheapest plans.

At 20 users, Proton Pass Essentials comes to $477.60 a year and the 1Password Starter Pack to $898.20, because each seat from 11 to 20 adds $4.99 a month. A team planning to grow past 10 should price the 20-user version before it picks a flat plan.

Key features to look for

Billing unit
Each plan bills per user per month, or as a flat monthly fee for a set headcount. 1Password's Starter Pack is flat for up to 10 members, so its cost per person falls as the team fills it.
SSO and SCIM
SSO lets people sign in through your identity provider. SCIM removes them from it automatically. Proton Professional, Dashlane, Bitwarden Enterprise and 1Password Business include SSO. Bitwarden Teams stops at SCIM and directory sync.
Free tiers and trials
Bitwarden's free organization shares items with one other user. Passbolt's Community Edition is free with unlimited users but runs on your own server. 1Password Business and Dashlane each offer a 14-day trial.
Currency and taxes
Bitwarden, 1Password and Proton print US dollars. Passbolt prints its Pro price in euros. Enpass prints a dollar sign with no currency code, and it adds applicable taxes at checkout.
Seat minimums and caps
Proton Pass Essentials starts at 3 users, Passbolt Pro needs 10, and 1Password's Starter Pack stops at 20 members. Read the minimum before you read the price.

Pricing

Prices were checked on 12 October 2026 on each vendor's own pricing page, and only figures printed there are used: Proton Pass for business, 1Password Business and Teams, Bitwarden pricing, Dashlane pricing, Enpass Business and Passbolt pricing.

Keeper's figures are on its pricing page.

Cost at 10 users is the per-user monthly price times 12 times 10, or the flat price where a plan has one.

Proton Essentials bills $23.88 per user a year, so $238.80 for ten. 1Password's Starter Pack is $24.95 a month billed annually, or $299.40 a year, for up to 10 members. Bitwarden Teams is $48 per user a year, or $480. Proton Professional is $53.88 per user a year, or $538.80.

Bitwarden Enterprise is $720.

Dashlane's Password Management plan is $8 a user a month, or $960 for ten. 1Password Business is $107.88 per user a year, or $1,078.80.

Left out of the cost order: Enpass prints a per-user monthly price billed yearly without a currency code, Passbolt prints its Pro price in euros, and Keeper's pages print no dollar figure for Business or Enterprise.

LastPass and Zoho Vault show no dollar price for team plans, so they are not in this list. Methodology: we rank only US-dollar prices printed on the vendor's own page, at 10 users billed annually, and a plan with a flat fee is costed at that fee.

Mistakes to avoid
×Buying the flat Starter Pack and then growing to 11 people. The 11th seat costs $4.99 a month, so 11 people come to $359.28 a year on the Starter Pack, not the flat total for ten.
×Paying for SSO you do not use. Bitwarden's passwordless SSO sits in the Enterprise plan, and Teams gives SCIM only. If people sign in with passwords and no identity provider, Bitwarden Teams covers the basics for less than Enterprise.
×Counting a free tier as a team plan. Bitwarden's free organization shares with one other person, and Passbolt's free edition runs on a server you host and maintain, which the pricing page does not price.
Expert tips
→Price the team you will have in a year. Proton Essentials and 1Password's Starter Pack are cheap at 10 people, and both rise with each seat after that, so check the 20-user figure before you sign.
→Confirm whether the annual price includes tax. Bitwarden lists prices before taxes, and Enpass adds applicable taxes at checkout, so the invoice can differ from the list figure.
→If your data must stay inside your own Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tenant, weigh Enpass's data-location option above a lower list price. Confirm the currency on the checkout page before you budget in dollars.

The bottom line

For 10 people with no identity provider, Proton Pass Essentials is the lowest plan we can confirm in US dollars. 1Password's Teams Starter Pack is the flat choice for a team that will stay at 10.

If you need SSO, Proton Pass Professional at $538.80 is the lowest plan we rank that includes it, ahead of Bitwarden Enterprise at $720 and Dashlane at $960.

1Password Business is the choice when you want its identity-provider integrations and admin controls.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest team password manager in 2026?

Among paid plans with a US-dollar price, Proton Pass Essentials is cheapest at $238.80 a year for 10 people billed annually. It needs at least 3 users and has no SSO or SCIM. Passbolt's free Community Edition is self-hosted and has no SSO. Checked on proton.me on 12 October 2026. 1Password's Teams Starter Pack comes next at $299.40 a year for up to 10 members.

Which team password managers include SSO?

Proton Pass Professional ($4.49 per user per month billed annually), Dashlane's Password Management plan, Bitwarden Enterprise and 1Password Business ($8.99) all offer SSO or identity-provider integrations. Bitwarden Teams stops at SCIM provisioning and directory sync. Enpass and Passbolt Pro also list SSO, but their prices are not in US dollars, so neither is ranked.

Is there a free password manager for a team?

Bitwarden's free organization lets you share items with one other Bitwarden user, so it covers a two-person team. Passbolt's Community Edition is free forever with unlimited users, but you host it yourself and it has no SSO. Proton Pass Essentials bills at least three seats, so a two-person team pays for three.

How much does 1Password cost for a team?

1Password Business costs $8.99 per user per month billed annually, or $107.88 per user a year, with a 14-day trial. The Teams Starter Pack costs $24.95 a month billed annually for up to 10 members, or $299.40 a year, and each seat from 11 to 20 adds $4.99 a month.

Is Dashlane more expensive than Bitwarden?

For 10 people on the standard plans, yes. Dashlane's Password Management plan is $960 a year for ten, billed annually. Bitwarden Teams is $480 at $4 a user, and Bitwarden Enterprise is $720 and adds passwordless SSO.

Why is Enpass not ranked on price?

Enpass's business page prints a per-user monthly price billed yearly, with SSO and SCIM listed on the plan. It prints a dollar sign but no currency code, so we do not put that number in a US-dollar ranking. Confirm the currency at checkout before you budget.
