TL;DR

Short answer: Tability is the best OKR software for most teams in 2026: Basic costs $6 a user a month billed yearly, so 25 people pay $1,800 a year for check-ins, strategy maps and Slack, Teams, Jira and Linear integrations. Perdoo is the best free start, covering up to 5 users. If you also run performance reviews, Lattice or 15Five put OKRs next to them, and Asana fits teams that want goals inside their project tool.

  • Updated: October 25, 2026

OKR software has split into three camps, and picking the camp matters more than picking the logo. Dedicated OKR apps such as Tability, Perdoo and Weekdone do one job and cost little. HR suites such as Lattice, 15Five, Leapsome and Betterworks sell goals as a module beside reviews and surveys. Project tools such as Asana add goals on an upper tier. For a 25-person company the yearly bill ranges from about $1,200 to about $7,500 depending on the camp.

Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, tracks 46 performance management tools as of 17 October 2026, and only 20% of them are free, freemium or open source. See the performance management category on Toolradar. Dedicated OKR apps are more generous: two of the eight tools below have a free plan that includes OKRs.

What it is

OKR software tracks objectives and key results: a qualitative goal, the three to five measurable results that prove it, and a weekly or biweekly check-in where owners update progress and confidence. Good tools also show how team goals ladder up to company goals and pull numbers in from other systems so nobody types them twice.

Toolradar profiles Tability, Perdoo, Lattice and 15Five if you want a wider comparison. Prices here come from each vendor's own pricing page.

Why it matters

Minimum spend changes the math for small companies. Lattice prices Goals and OKRs per seat, but it sets a $4,000 minimum annual spend, so a 25-person team pays the minimum rather than $2,400. Tability, by contrast, has no user minimum and lets a single team start.

The other hidden cost is duplication, which small teams notice within a quarter. If you already pay for an HR suite with goals or for Asana Advanced, a second OKR app means two places to update the same number. Teams that track work in a project tool can read our project management software ranking, and teams choosing a performance platform should compare the goals modules below before buying a standalone tool.

Key features to look for

Check-ins and confidence
The weekly ritual is the product. Look for reminders in Slack or Teams so owners update progress without opening another app.
Alignment view
Strategy maps or cascading goals show how a team key result supports a company objective. Tability and Perdoo include strategy maps on their entry plans.
Data connectors
Key results pulled from Jira, Salesforce or a spreadsheet stay current on their own. Tability adds data connectors on Premium; Lattice lists Salesforce and Jira integrations.
Read-only seats
Not everyone owns a goal. Tability gives 2 free read-only seats per paid user, and Perdoo sells view-only licenses on Supreme.
Minimums and annual billing
Lattice bills annually with a minimum yearly spend, and 15Five plans are billed annually. Monthly options exist at Tability and Asana.

Pricing

Prices were checked on 17 October 2026 on each vendor's own pricing page: Tability pricing, Perdoo pricing, Lattice pricing, 15Five pricing, Leapsome pricing, Betterworks pricing, Weekdone prices and Asana pricing.

For 25 people on annual billing: Leapsome's Goals module costs $1,200 while the foundation offer runs, Tability Basic $1,800, Betterworks Performance $2,400, Tability Premium $3,000, 15Five Perform $3,300, Lattice $4,000 because its minimum annual spend exceeds 25 seats at $8, and Asana Advanced $7,497. Perdoo and Weekdone are free for small teams (5 and 3 users) and price larger teams per user on their own sites.

Methodology: we ranked dedicated OKR apps and the goals modules of HR and project suites on four things: cost at 25 users, whether the entry plan holds real OKRs with check-ins and alignment, free-plan headroom, and minimums. We used only prices printed by the vendor and compared published plans; we did not run these tools ourselves. WorkBoard, which now owns the Quantive brand, sells by demo and publishes no price, so it is not ranked.

Mistakes to avoid
×Buying an HR suite to get OKRs. If you only need goals and check-ins, Lattice's annual floor or 15Five's Perform plan pay for reviews you may not run yet. Start with a dedicated OKR app and move goals later if you adopt a performance platform.
×Upgrading Asana for goals alone. Going from Starter to Advanced more than doubles the per-seat price for every user, not only the people who own objectives.
×Paying seats for viewers, when most people read OKRs and own none of them. Tability's free read-only seats and Perdoo's view-only licenses keep the paid count to goal owners.
Expert tips
→Run one quarter on a free plan first. Perdoo covers 5 users and Weekdone 3, enough for a leadership team to set company objectives before rolling out to everyone.
→Count goal owners, not employees. A 25-person company may have 8 people who own key results; on a per-user tool that changes the bill more than any discount.
→Connect one data source in the trial. A key result that updates from Jira or Salesforce on its own is the difference between OKRs that live and OKRs that die by week six.

The bottom line

Tability is the best OKR software for most teams: priced per user with no minimum, and the entry plan already covers check-ins, alignment and work-tool integrations. Perdoo is the best free start for a team of five. Choose Lattice, 15Five, Leapsome or Betterworks when goals should sit beside reviews and feedback, and Asana only if your team already lives there and will use Advanced for more than goals.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best OKR software in 2026?

Tability is the best fit for most teams: Basic costs $6 per user a month billed yearly with check-ins, strategy maps and Slack, Teams, Jira and Linear integrations, checked on Tability's pricing page on 17 October 2026. Perdoo is the best free option for up to 5 users, and Lattice or 15Five suit companies that want OKRs inside an HR platform.

How much does OKR software cost for 25 people?

On annual billing, 25 people cost $1,200 on Leapsome's Goals module during its foundation offer, $1,800 on Tability Basic, $2,400 on Betterworks Performance, $3,300 on 15Five Perform, the minimum annual spend on Lattice, and $7,497 on Asana Advanced. Prices are from vendor pages, October 2026.

Is there free OKR software?

Yes. Perdoo is free for up to 5 users with strategy maps and OKR and KPI tracking, and Weekdone is free for up to 3 users with all features. Asana's free Personal plan does not include Goals, so it is no substitute. Most teams outgrow these limits once OKRs roll out beyond leadership.

Does Lattice have a minimum price?

Yes. Lattice bills all contracts annually in US dollars with a minimum annual spend of $4,000. At the Goals and OKRs list rate, any company under about 42 seats on that module alone pays the minimum.

Should I use Asana Goals instead of an OKR tool?

Only if your team already plans work in Asana and would use Advanced anyway. Goals are not in Starter, and Advanced costs $24.99 per user a month billed annually for every user. A dedicated OKR tool such as Tability costs far less if goals are the only reason to upgrade.

What is the difference between OKR software and performance management software?

OKR software tracks company and team objectives with regular check-ins. Performance management software runs reviews, feedback and calibration for individuals. Lattice, 15Five, Leapsome and Betterworks sell both, while Tability, Perdoo and Weekdone focus on goals.
