Beautiful.ai Review 2026
What one person and a five-person team pay for Pro and Team, and when Gamma, Canva, or Plus AI costs less for the same deck job.
Beautiful.ai is worth annual Pro at $14.50/mo if you will still be making decks after three months, and a weak buy if you wanted a free tool. The monthly Pro option is $45, and the 14-day trial charges your card if you do not cancel. For five people, Gamma Plus at $108 a seat for the year is the cheaper deck tool to price first.
Key factsBest for: People who ship branded decks often enough that the annual…
- Presentation software that auto-formats Smart Slides, with unlimited AI and no credit meter on Pro.
- Free plan: There is no free plan, and the 14-day trial needs a card.
- Student Pro: A verified .edu email gets 12 months of Pro free.
- Team seats: The published Team plan is sold for 2 to 20 seats.
- Toolradar rating: The score is 4.4 out of 5 across 283 ratings.
Pros
- Pro lists unlimited AI generation, with no credit meter, plus more than 300 Smart Slide layouts, so a redraw adds no credit charge.
- Editable PowerPoint import and export are on Pro, so a client who skips the link can still open a file.
- A verified .edu email gets 12 months of Pro free, and only new student subscribers qualify.
Cons
- The trial charges the card if you do not cancel, so missing that date means you bought the plan.
- The Team card includes 3 users, while the FAQ prices the same plan per user, so checkout has to settle the total.
- Smart Slides resist freeform placement, so use Classic Slides when the template fights the layout.

The annual individual plan is the only Beautiful.ai price that looks ordinary next to other deck tools. The monthly plan matches the feature list and only fits a project you will cancel. The Team plan tells two stories about a seat, so a five-person total is not real until checkout prints one.
Toolradar data: Beautiful.ai is tied for fifth among the most-listed alternatives in Presentation Design, out of 68 tools in that category, and it is listed as an alternative to 24 tools against a peer median of 2, as of October 2026.
That count comes from Beautiful.ai on Toolradar, the software directory we run. People already comparing deck tools meet this product as a named alternative much more often than a typical peer.
The wider ranking is on Toolradar's presentation design list.
Methodology: prices and plan limits were read on 17 October 2026 from Beautiful.ai's pricing page, Gamma's pricing page, Canva's pricing page, Plus AI's pricing page, Pitch's pricing page, and Microsoft's Business Standard page.
We compared the published price for a branded slide deck, what that plan includes, and the bill for one person and for five seats. Beautiful.ai links on this page may earn a commission. How the picks were judged is on how we rate.
What is Beautiful.ai?
Beautiful.ai rebuilds the layout as you add or remove content, so a client deck can look finished without a design pass. Smart Slides are the product, templates that keep spacing and alignment intact, and the pricing page lists more than 300 layouts.
Classic Slides are the blank canvas, and you need them the moment a slide has to break the template.
Pro is the individual plan, and it is the tier one person can budget without a sales call. Team adds a shared library, live editing, and analytics, which pay off only if people actually share slides.
Enterprise is a quote, with SSO, SCIM, and SOC 2 Type II on the security list, and it has no public price. A separate SMB offer promises flat rates for smaller teams and prints no price, so that company has to talk to sales before it can compare.
It is a slide tool, not a design suite and not a doc-and-website builder. Social graphics or a one-page site belong with Canva and Gamma, which cover work Beautiful.ai does not sell.
If you are still choosing a deck tool, the category roundup is the AI presentation makers guide.
How Beautiful.ai works
You start in the browser, pick a Smart Slide, and type or generate the content. The layout adjusts when a bullet is added or a chart grows, which the pricing page calls auto-formatting. That is why a non-designer can ship a client deck without a design pass.
AI on Pro can draft, write, generate images, and translate, and the plan calls that generation unlimited. Regenerating a slide does not raise the bill, unlike tools that meter the same work in credits.
A Smart Slide will not let you park an element anywhere you like, because the layout engine is what you are paying for. When that fights the slide, Classic Slides are the way out: a blank slide with the guardrails off. Brand colors, fonts, logos, icons, and footers live in a theme, and switching themes applies across the deck. A marketing lead wants that when every proposal has to look like the same company.
Sharing is a link, Pro adds viewer analytics, and Team adds tighter control over who can edit. PowerPoint import and editable export sit on Pro, along with PDF export, so a client can take a file instead of a link. The trial needs a card, charges it in full if you do not cancel, and then billing starts for the plan you chose.
Why it matters
Count the months before you pick a term, because the monthly plan is cheaper only if the project ends quickly. Three months on monthly Pro cost $135, four months cost $180, and the annual plan is $174 for the year. Monthly wins only if you cancel by the third month.
From the fourth month the annual rate is lower, and you can barely unwind it, because the refund window is 24 hours after purchase or renewal.
A three-person team has two bills on the same pricing page, so do not budget until checkout picks one. The Team card's annual price, labeled as including 3 users, is $480 for the year. The FAQ's per-user reading of that same price is $1,440 for three people.
The card stops at three users and prints no fourth-seat rate, so that person stays unknown until checkout names a number.
Five seats, using only per-person rates the vendors state, land far apart, so a small team should not treat this as the default. Five Team seats at the FAQ's per-user annual rate come to $2,400 a year. Five Gamma Plus seats come to $540, and five Plus AI Basic seats come to $600.
Five Canva Business seats come to $1,250, and five Microsoft 365 Business Standard with Copilot seats come to $1,410, both under that Team reading. The three-user bundle, if checkout honors it, does not cover five seats, because no per-seat add-on is printed.
Beautiful.ai key features
Beautiful.ai pricing
Prices below were read on Beautiful.ai's pricing page on 17 October 2026. The individual plan in the table is the annual rate, and the monthly option is those same features sold for a project you can cancel.
A full year of the monthly rate is $540, against the annual total above, so monthly for a whole year is the expensive way to buy the same features.
The Team card and the rest of the pricing page do not tell the same price story. The plan card shows $50 on monthly billing and $40 on annual billing, both labeled per month including 3 users, with fixed pricing for up to three users.
The hero and the FAQ instead price the plan per user, at $40 per user per month billed annually, or $50 per user billed monthly. Treat those as two readings until checkout shows a seat total, because the per-user reading is the much larger bill.
Enterprise is Custom, sold through a demo, and adds SSO, SCIM, audit logs, and priority support. The SMB plan is contact sales: flat rates for smaller teams and no printed number, so you cannot compare it until sales replies.
A verified .edu address can get a free annual Pro subscription for new student subscribers, valid for 12 months from activation, on Beautiful.ai's education page.
Gamma Plus is $9 per seat per month billed annually, which is $108 for the year, on Gamma's pricing page. That is the deck price a team should beat. Canva Pro is $144 a year for one person, and Canva Business is $250 a year per person, on Canva's pricing page. That is a suite price even if slides are all you needed.
Plus AI Basic is $10 per user per month billed annually, or $15 billed monthly, on Plus AI's pricing page. That is the cost of staying inside PowerPoint or Google Slides.
Microsoft 365 Business Standard with Copilot is $23.50 per user per month, paid yearly, on Microsoft's Business Standard page. That buys the Office suite rather than a slide tool.
Pitch is the option when outside guests matter more than a seat price you can read in advance.

Beautiful.ai pros and cons
What we like
- Pro lists unlimited AI generation, with no credit meter, plus more than 300 Smart Slide layouts, so a redraw adds no credit charge.
- Editable PowerPoint import and export are on Pro, so a client who skips the link can still open a file.
- A verified .edu email gets 12 months of Pro free, and only new student subscribers qualify.
What could be better
- The trial charges the card if you do not cancel, so missing that date means you bought the plan.
- The Team card includes 3 users, while the FAQ prices the same plan per user, so checkout has to settle the total.
- Smart Slides resist freeform placement, so use Classic Slides when the template fights the layout.
Who Beautiful.ai is for
Beautiful.ai fits someone who ships client decks often enough to stay on the annual plan and wants the layout handled rather than drawn. A consultant who rebuilds the same proposal every week, or a marketing lead who needs one theme on every deck, is the Pro buyer.
Team is for a group that will use a shared slide library once checkout matches the budget, and everyone else should stay on the individual plan.
Skip occasional work, because monthly is cheap only for a short project and the annual term is hard to refund after that. Skip it when the deck must stay in Google Slides or PowerPoint while you edit, which is the job Plus AI is built for.
Skip it when five people need a shared workspace and the bill must stay near the Gamma or Canva totals above. Students with a .edu address should take the free year first, because it is the only long stretch of Pro with no bill.

The bottom line
Pay for Beautiful.ai when the annual individual plan matches how often you present, and when a layout engine is the thing you are buying. Pro at the annual rate suits one person who will use it past the third month, because that is when monthly stops being the smaller bill. The monthly rate is for a project you will finish and cancel. Team is a clear buy only after checkout shows whether the price includes three users or charges every seat.
Pick Gamma when five people need decks and the bill has to stay near a few hundred dollars a year. Pick Canva when the same people also make social and video. Pick Plus AI when the file has to be born as PowerPoint or Google Slides. The leaving-Gamma path, with a different shortlist, is the Gamma alternatives guide. A head-to-head with Gamma is on Dupple's Gamma vs Beautiful.ai page.
