Typeform vs Jotform 2026: Price for 5 Users Compared
Five editors on Typeform Business cost $1,092 a year, on Jotform Silver $468. Seat caps, response limits and free plans checked on both pricing pages, October 2026.

For five people editing forms, Jotform Silver is the cheaper plan: $39 a month billed yearly, or $468 a year. Typeform needs its Business plan for five seats, at $91 a month billed yearly. Jotform Silver also covers ten sub-users, while Typeform's public plans stop at five seats. Typeform wins on cost per response at the top of its range, so the pick depends on seats and volume.
Prices on this page were read on each vendor's own pricing page on 12 October 2026, in US dollars, at list price. The sources are Typeform's pricing page and Jotform's pricing page. Toolradar data: Toolradar's form builders ranking evaluates 82 tools as of October 2026. Typeform is listed as an alternative to 53 other tools and Jotform to 52, the two most cross-shopped form builders on Toolradar.
The cost at five users
The scenario is five people who edit forms, collecting 1,000 responses a month, billed yearly at list price for 12 months. Only plans that fit five editors and 1,000 responses count as a fit. The table lists the plans that fit first and the two that do not after, each group cheapest first.
| Plan | Seats included | Responses or submissions a month | Per month, billed yearly | 12 months, billed yearly | 12 months, billed monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jotform Silver | 10 sub-users | 2,500 submissions | $39 | $468 | $588 |
| Typeform Business | 5 users | 10,000 responses | $91 | $1,092 | $1,548 |
| Jotform Bronze | 3 sub-users | 1,000 submissions | $34 | Not enough seats | Not enough seats |
| Typeform Plus | 3 users | 1,000 responses | $56 | Not enough seats | Not enough seats |
Each yearly total is the monthly rate times 12. Five editors on Typeform Business cost $1,092 a year, and five on Jotform Silver cost $468. That is a gap of $624 a year on yearly billing. Billed monthly, the gap widens to $960 a year, because Typeform Business rises to $129 a month and Jotform Silver to $49. Yearly billing is the cheaper route on both tools, so it is the column to budget from.
Silver's ten sub-users give five editors room to grow to ten at the same price. Typeform has no equivalent below its custom Enterprise plan, which covers six or more users with SSO and no published price. A team that expects to add people within a year should price that step before it signs with Typeform.
At three editors the gap narrows. Typeform Plus costs $672 a year, for three seats and 1,000 responses. Jotform Bronze costs $408 a year, for three sub-users and 1,000 submissions. The difference is $264 a year, and Bronze is the lower price. Typeform's Basic plan, at $28 a month billed yearly, suits a solo creator, because it gives one seat and 100 responses.
Typeform's plans and seat limits
Typeform's public plans are priced by responses and seats. Basic costs $28 a month billed yearly. It gives 100 responses a month and one seat, with conditional logic, webhooks and integrations, and it keeps Typeform's branding on every form. Plus costs $56 a month billed yearly, or $79 monthly. It raises responses to 1,000, gives three seats, removes the Typeform branding and allows a custom subdomain.
Business costs $91 a month billed yearly, or $129 monthly. It gives 10,000 responses a month and five seats, plus drop-off rates, conversion tracking, priority support and live chat. Those analytics are the part of the plan that matters to a team that wants to know where respondents leave a form. Talent ($119 a month billed yearly) is an HR plan, and Growth Pro ($266 a month billed yearly) is outside the scope of this five-editor comparison, so both are left out.
The seat count is the constraint that shapes the decision. Five seats is the ceiling on Typeform's public plans, and a sixth editor moves the account to Enterprise. Typeform's feature list also describes organization viewer seats, which it calls unlimited. Viewers can read results but cannot create or edit forms, so they do not change the editor count in this comparison.
Jotform's plans and sub-user limits
Jotform sorts its paid plans by submissions, forms and sub-users. Bronze costs $34 a month billed yearly. It gives 1,000 submissions a month, 25 forms and three sub-users, and Bronze users can remove Jotform branding from their forms. Silver costs $39 a month billed yearly, or $49 monthly. It raises the limits to 2,500 submissions, 50 forms and ten sub-users.
Gold costs $99 a month billed yearly, or $129 monthly. It offers 10,000 submissions, 100 forms and 100 sub-users, and it is the lowest paid Jotform plan with HIPAA-compliance features, which Jotform reserves for Gold and Enterprise. Enterprise is custom priced. A team that outgrows Silver's 2,500 submissions has to jump to Gold, which costs more than double Silver at yearly billing.
Free plans
Typeform's free plan allows 10 responses a month with one seat. That is enough to try the form builder and far too few for a live survey or a lead form that gets steady traffic. Jotform's Starter plan allows 100 submissions a month, five forms and one sub-user, which covers a small internal form. Its forms carry Jotform branding, and the free plan has no way to remove it.
Free works for a trial on either tool. Neither free plan covers a team, so the paid plan that fits your editor count decides which tool costs less.
Where Typeform earns its price
Typeform is cheaper per response at the top of its range. Business works out to about $0.0091 a response at 10,000 responses, billed yearly. Jotform Gold works out to about $0.0099 a submission at 10,000, billed yearly. A team that fills its quota every month pays less per response on Typeform, provided five seats cover the team. Below that ceiling the order flips: at 1,000 responses, Business works out to about $0.091 each, while Jotform Silver at 1,000 submissions works out to $0.039 each.
Typeform also sells itself on the form experience. Its pricing page describes interactive AI forms, surveys and quizzes, and the plan features center on conditional logic, branded forms and drop-off analytics. If the form is the first thing a customer sees, the look and feel matter more than seat count, and Typeform is built for that case.
Where Jotform earns its price
Jotform wins on seats. Silver gives ten sub-users at a much lower bill, while Typeform gives five seats for more than twice as much, so a team of five to ten pays less for Jotform. The branding gap is as wide. Jotform lets Bronze users remove its branding, and Bronze is its entry paid plan. Typeform's cheapest plan without its branding is Plus, with three seats.
Compliance is a second area. Jotform offers HIPAA-compliance features on Gold at $99 a month billed yearly, while Typeform lists HIPAA compliance as an Enterprise feature. A clinic, benefits team or any business handling health information should price Jotform Gold before it prices Typeform Enterprise, and confirm the compliance terms with each vendor before relying on them.
The weak points on each side
Typeform's weak points are the seat ceiling and the branding. Basic keeps Typeform's branding on every form, and Business is the first plan that lets five editors work at once. Past five editors, the cost moves to a custom contract. Typeform's free plan, at 10 responses a month, is also the tightest cap in this comparison.
Jotform's weak points are the tier jumps and the sub-user cap on Bronze. Crossing 2,500 submissions a month pushes a team from Silver to Gold, which costs $99 a month billed yearly. Bronze caps the account at three sub-users, so a team of four has to pay for Silver.
Which to pick
Pick Jotform Silver if the team has up to ten editors, expects up to 2,500 submissions a month and wants the lowest yearly bill. It is the cheapest plan in this comparison that fits five or more people.
Pick Typeform Business if the form is the brand impression, the team has up to five editors and volume could approach 10,000 responses a month. At full quota it is the cheaper plan per response, and the drop-off and conversion analytics come with it.
Pick Typeform Plus if three editors are enough, the form must carry no Typeform branding and volume stays near 1,000 responses. At $672 a year it costs more than Jotform Bronze, which gives three sub-users and 1,000 submissions at $408 a year, so the choice comes down to whether Typeform's form design justifies the difference.
Pick Typeform Basic, at $28 a month billed yearly, for one person who builds forms alone and accepts Typeform's branding. It is the cheapest paid seat in this comparison.
Where this fits in the wider stack
Our best form builders ranking covers the wider field, and our best survey software guide covers the survey-first end of the market. Teams that need only a free plan should read best free survey tools, which sets the free limits side by side. A team that wants a survey product rather than a form builder should compare SurveyMonkey before it buys either tool. If the form also has to collect signatures, best eSignature software covers signing tools as a separate job. How we checked
Typeform prices, response limits and seat counts come from Typeform's pricing page, read 12 October 2026 in US dollars. Jotform prices and limits come from Jotform's pricing page, read the same day. Each total multiplies the monthly rate by 12, reads the price as list before tax and before any promotion, and assumes the plan stays unchanged for the year. These are not quotes. Check both pricing pages before you buy.
