Stoke Space said in an 8 September 2026 company newsroom post that it completed an initial closing of a $1 billion Series E. The Kent, Washington rocket company says the round brings total capital raised to $2.3 billion.

This is a company press release on an initial Series E closing and a larger Nova roadmap. It is not a flown orbital launch, and it is not a final close.

Point72 Ventures and Spark Capital co-led. General Innovation, Glade Brook Capital, US Innovation Technology, Washington Harbour Partners, Woven Capital, Y Combinator, and other new and existing investors participated. CEO Andy Lapsa said the money funds scale in production, flight frequency, and the second-generation vehicle.

Nova Pathfinder is targeted for a first orbital launch in early 2027. The larger Nova Block 2, already under development, is specified at 15 metric tons to low Earth orbit in a 5-meter payload fairing, with a first launch targeted for 2029. Those are company targets, not flown milestones.

Stoke's release does not state a post-money valuation. Reuters attributed a roughly $10 billion valuation to a person familiar with the matter. Treat that figure as wire colour, not a company-confirmed number. TechCrunch reported the same initial-close language and said Pathfinder is designed for about 3 metric tons to low Earth orbit.

A reusable-launch raise of this size sits next to Isar Aerospace reaching orbit with Spectrum. Large private rounds this week also include Mistral's Samsung-led Series D. Capital that underwrites physical capacity sits next to Nvidia's $105 billion OpenAI Ohio backstop and Qualcomm's Amazon server-chip warrants.

If you are underwriting launch capacity or competing with reusable medium-lift roadmaps past 2027, treat Stoke's binding numbers as the $1 billion initial close, $2.3 billion cumulative capital, and the 2029 Block 2 15-ton target, not the unverified $10 billion wire valuation.
